Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Serial – audience has own story
Before writing this piece on yeh rishta kya kehlata hai, I talked to some of the people who watch it on a daily basis #fans. I must say its success rate is unabated ,and this intrigued me to find out the actual viewers of this show.
And I found out that the audience were middle/old aged women and I wasn’t shocked, because a lot of times I have heard aunties and kinswomen gossiping about it.
Of course they talk about a lot of other things too. Anyways so I was talking to one of the aunty from my neighbourhood I will share one extract of what we talked about.
ME- Aunty, do you watch serials?
AUNT- Yes, I do.
ME- what kind of serials do you watch?
AUNT- Hindi TV shows like pavitra rishta, yeh rishta kya kehlata hai, she named a few.
ME- Why do you watch this particular one ‘yeh rishta kya kehlata hai’?
AUNT- because I am watching it since the very beginning, and now it’s a part of my daily routine.
She continues after a short pause
AUNT- I think beta, deep inside I don’t want to refrain myself from watching these shows, because its been with me during my difficult days: days when I was all alone and there was nobody around to talk too.
These shows helped me to cope up with my lonliness. They are like my helpers now, and I can’t abandon them. I will never do that.
I was listening patiently
AUNT – This might sound funny to you, but this is my reality. My husband works, my children are now ‘grown up’ and busy. I don’t blame them for my feelings ,I have learnt to deal with it and these shows are my true companion now.
I was blown away and I questioned myself that Why did I never thought about it? And I think You should ask youself too.
I truly believe that petty things have gargantuan power and I don’t want you to blindly trust me on this, I want you to try it out, think about it and then decide what actually matters.
These housewives (women) are the greatest example of self reliance ( AATMNIRBHAR, countrie’s favourite word these days ) you will ever ever find. That’s all for today in yeh rishta kya kehlata hai. Comment how did you find today’s blog. Have a nice day ahead.
