FRIENDSHIP DAY- day dedicated to most precious living beings

Hey everyone and a very Happy Friendship day to all of you. I heard a lot of people are confused about when to celebrate friendship day and there are so many myths regarding it, so I thought why not a blog about it. So let’s start with the facts:

  1. World Friendship Day is celebrated annually on 30 July, while America and many other nations observe Friendship Day on the first Sunday of August every year, so even the people who celebrated it on 30th July, that’s correct too.

2. On 27 April 2011, the United Nations declared 30 July as the official International Day of Friendship, stating “Our world faces many challenges, crises and forces of division… to confront those crises and challenges, their root causes must be addressed by promoting and defending a shared spirit of human solidarity that takes many forms – the simplest of which is friendship.”

3. The aim of International Friendship Day is to help bridge the gaps between people of different ages, races, colors, nationality, and religion in order to build strong communities that embrace differences.

4.In 1997, the United Nations named Winnie-the-Pooh as the world’s Ambassador of Friendship.

5.The traditional color for friendship is yellow, which is why yellow roses are associated with friendship. So give your buddies a yellow flower to celebrate your ‘friendship day.’

For a second, envision your life without friends? Can you? Because I couldn’t. For me it’s impossible. I mean for me, my friends are not just people with whom I chill with, or party with, these are the ones I cry with, I fight with, argue with and what not.

I mean these guys know everything about me, right from my stupid face of can I call my ex, from my fears to my deepest darkest secrets. Most importantly, these are the people who let me be myself, without any fabrication and how beautiful this feeling is, when you don’t have to pretend anything.

This period has brought a lot realization for me. The most important one, is how important is to celebrate these guys in our lives. With all the chaos going on, when our friends are not just a door away, it’s just gets more difficult when you really can’t see them in person. I am sure you all might have felt this.

Not only on friendship day but very often I wonder how important friends are and how wonderful they make our lives just by being around. I feel we are one of the most vulnerable generations of all, super exposed to everything out there. We regularly fight with our fears our enemies, and in this process sometimes we get so intimated by the social norms and social acceptance that we start losing ourselves.

One feels that peer pressure of being perfect all the time. And that’s not totally inevitable also for the surrounding’s we have been living now, which gets so competitive sometimes. But to make us feel real so that we can come back to the old imperfect self, friends are there.

It’s similar like going around the world talking about all the fancy and progressive things and coming back and cribbing about the same old thing every day, literally every day. And that’s how my friends are for me.

Well I am not that good with admiring people, but let me to do this. I thank you guys for making life easier. I am so grateful to have you all.

Sometimes it’s good to be a little vocal about your feelings and this friendship day if you cannot meet your friends, please tell them how important they are in your life.

This song just goes perfect for the people in my life

Meri zindgi savari, mujko gale lagakar, betha dia falak pr, muje khaak se utha kr, yaara teri yaari ko, mene to khuda mana.

here’s the beautiful song –

Have a good day guys, and a Happy Friendship Day. Take care, stay safe.
